SmartWare was initally released in 1983 as a complete
Office package comprising Database, Spreadsheet and Wordprocessor
with a highly developed and easy to learn programming language -
SPL. As a result it became used for a myriad different applications
worldwide and gained an admiring user base.
SmartWare 2000 was the latest version released
by Angoss. It is an extremely stable product with a well developed
feature set. The database tends to be the most widely used module
because it offers very good reliability. Since then it has undergone
several iterations and is now at version 4.5 and work continues
to add more to the feature palette. SmartWare is positioned as an
excellent development environment and an extremely robust client
server relational database with its own set of tools.
